This movie is silly, but I really enjoyed it. The humor is strange and awkward from the start. The broken sliding glass door says a lot. It shows how Craig forces his way into people’s lives instead of being welcomed in. (Friendship Movie Review).
I had never seen any of Tim Robinson’s work before. So I was very confused at first. Honestly, I was still confused by the end. The movie is so weird and unpredictable. I never knew what was going to happen. It was uncomfortable in a way I didn’t expect. Like someone doing comedy bits too much in real life, and you start to worry about them.
Tim Robinson plays Craig with a mix of chaos and sadness. He becomes obsessed with Austin, played by Paul Rudd. Craig ruins his own life just to win him back. He isn’t a villain, just a man who doesn’t know how to handle loneliness. By the end, he’s smiling as he’s taken to jail, just because Austin winked at him. That moment broke me.
The ending is brilliant. Craig is smiling as he’s being taken to jail, just because Austin winked at him. It’s funny and tragic at the same time. It never felt too lengthy, and the pacing was perfect. I loved this movie, but I don’t think I can watch it again. It was too real and too uncomfortable. But also, unforgettable.
